Birthday Party & Celebration Proceeds Some people choose to celebrate a special holiday or honor a friend or family member by giving a donation to Ronald McDonald House. Here are some ideas that people have come up with in the past: - When celebrating a birthday, ask guests to donate a wish list item or make a monetary donation in lieu of a gift. It’s a special way to honor someone you care about.
- Collect wish-list items instead of having “Secret Santas” at the office during the holidays.
- In lieu of wedding favors, prepare a special poem with a note sharing that a special donation has been made by the bride and groom in honor of the wedding guests.
