With the support of McDonald's Corporation and its franchisees, Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) is able to place collection boxes by the cash registers and in the drive-thru windows of McDonald's restaurants around the world. The RMHC Canister Program allows McDonald's customers to support Ronald McDonald House Charities a few cents at a time.  Since its inception, the Canister Program has grown into one of the most critical fundraisers for RMHC. In the Rochester area, tens of thousands of dollars are collected in the canisters each year, and directly benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of Rochester.
   
McDonald’s leverages its considerable resources to implement global and promotions like World Children’s Day.  Now in its 5th year, it is an annual global fundraiser celebrated in over 100 countries.  Funds raised during World Children's Day are distributed to each chapter, and are used to support outreach programs in the local community.


Here in Rochester, members of the McDonald’s family volunteer as Board and committee members, and assist with our many special events.  Together they have helped RMHC tackle the many challenges of operating, including recruiting volunteers, securing in-kind gifts, raising necessary funds and delivering program services.

Our Rochester McDonald’s Owner/Operators exemplify the “giving back” that was instilled by founder Ray Kroc and his wife Joan.  The following restaurants are part of our RMHC Rochester Area family and have always been there, continuing to extend support and resources to our two Houses and our grant program.  We are very grateful for everything McDonald's and its franchisees do for us. The remainder of our annual operating income comes from individual, foundation and other corporate donors.
